Jam Room Policies
Booking: A deposit is required to confirm all studio
sessions at Jam Room. This deposit shall be equal to 50% of the cost
of the total time booked. If making a deposit with a personal check,
session will be considered confirmed once the check has cleared. Sessions
for which Jam Room has not received a deposit will be subject to change
or cancellation at our discretion. Received deposits shall be applied
to the total cost of the client’s scheduled session provided that
client is on time, prepared, and in a state fit to work in a professional
setting. Jam Room reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any session
for any reason.
Cancellations/No Shows/Late Arrivals: Cancellation or rescheduling
of a session must be done with at least 2 days (48 hours) notice to
avoid forfeiture of deposit. Any client more than 30 minutes late
for their scheduled time will have their session cancelled and will
forfeit their deposit.
Payment: Jam Room accepts cash, Visa, Master Card and personal checks
(acceptance of checks is at our discretion). Payment is due in full
at the end of each session. Jam Room will not release masters or any
other recording media to clients, nor will additional sessions/services
be scheduled until all open balances are settled. If an account becomes
delinquent, client will pay all of Jam Room’s legal fees associated
with financial collection processes for services rendered by Jam Room
or materials purchased.
Pro Tools: All Sessions will be recorded in Pro Tools
unless otherwise specified by the client. Upon completion of client’s
project, client may opt to have all sessions saved and stored for
a fee of $25. Otherwise, all associated sessions will be deleted from
Jam Room’s hard drive once the project has been completed to the client’s
satisfaction.
Mixing/Mastering: Clients bringing in sessions recorded at other studios
who wish to mix and/or master at Jam Room should make sure that all
files are compatible with Pro Tools and have been properly prepared
prior to the start of the scheduled session. If you are unsure how
to prepare your files to be mixed or mastered at Jam Room, it is your
responsibility to speak to one of our engineers prior to your session.
Clients who show up for a mixing/mastering session without files properly
prepared will have their session cancelled and will forfeit their
deposit.
Guests: No more than 5 guests will
be permitted in the studio during a session.
***The Jam Room will not be held responsible for any
items left in the studio including: Audio masters, computer files,
personal items and musical equipment.
***By putting down a deposit to book studio time you
are indicating that you have read, understood and agree to the above
policies.
